The area around the installation site of the diesel generator set should be kept clean, and items that can produce acidic, alkaline and other corrosive gases and vapors should be avoided nearby. If conditions permit, fire extinguishing devices should be equipped.
First, the generator shell must have a reliable protective grounding, for the generator that needs to have a neutral point directly grounded, it must be neutral grounded by professionals, and equipped with lightning protection device, it is strictly prohibited to use the grounding device of the mains for direct grounding of the neutral point. The two-way switch with the mains must be very reliable to prevent backward power supply. The connection reliability of the bidirectional switch must be verified and approved by the local power supply department.
Second, the installation site of the diesel generator set should be well ventilated, the generator end should have enough air intake, and the diesel engine end should have a good air outlet. The area of the outlet should be more than 1.5 times the area of the water tank. The old diesel generator set needs to use concrete as the foundation, and its levelness must be measured with a level during installation, so that the unit is fixed on the level basis. There should be special shock-proof pads or foot bolts between the unit and the foundation. And modern diesel generators do not need concrete as a foundation, because modern diesel generators have been improved, the whole unit floor is flat, and are equipped with shock absorbers, very convenient.
3. In indoor use, the smoke exhaust pipe must be guided outdoors, the pipe diameter must be the diameter of the smoke pipe of the silencer, and the elbow of the connected pipe should not exceed 3 to ensure the smooth exhaust of smoke, and the pipe should be tilted down 5-10 degrees to avoid rain injection; If the exhaust pipe is installed vertically upward, a rain cover must be installed.
