Cummins diesel generators generate heat when they run, causing a rise in body temperature. When the temperature rises to a certain extent, it will affect the efficiency of Cummins generator. Therefore, measures were taken to keep the engine and AC Cummins generator at a low temperature. The cooling system includes radiator, axial fan and thermostat. Ac Cummins generator with independent fan cooling.
Radiator: Various dirt on the radiator chip can greatly reduce the cooling performance of the radiator, so it is necessary to clean the radiator frequently in a dusty environment.
Coolant: Engine coolant has three functions: to provide sufficient transmission force; Prevent corrosion of all metal materials in the cooling system; Provide adequate protection against freezing.
Choose qualified brand coolant to ensure the normal use of the engine. The coolant should be mixed with water, antifreeze or water and antirust, where the PH value of water should be between 6 and 8. It is usually recommended to choose * water.
Coolant should be contained in the freezing area 40* ~ 60* recommended users use antifreeze 50* Cummins generator antifreeze and 50* pure water mixture should be prepared separately in an independent container, mixed evenly after adding to the tank, antifreeze capacity can reach -30 ℃ or so. (See antifreeze user’s instructions for details).
Antirust fluid can be used in areas where there is no danger of freezing, rather than antifreeze. The mixing ratio of antirust liquid and pure water is 1:30. Under the condition of not reducing Cummins generator, better antirust effect and cooling performance can be achieved. Cummins generator should be run to heat engine after filling with antirust solution to obtain the best anti-corrosion protection.
Do not mix different types of antifreeze with additives such as rust inhibitors, as it can create a lot of foam and reduce its cooling properties.
Add coolant: Coolant can be added after Cummins generator is shut down and completely cooled. Cummins generator should not be started before system ventilation and coolant filling. When the coolant is injected, the liquid level shall reach 5 cm below the welding surface of the water injection port (or the coolant level indication scale line). After the coolant is filled, start and preheat the Cummins generator, check the coolant surface, and determine if the coolant needs to be replenished.
The coolant of the same specifications as the original cooling system should be the coolant. Before adding coolant to the cooling system, ensure that the discharge cap is closed and the discharge plug is located in the correct position. Add coolant slowly and evenly to avoid bubble faulting in the system. The air of the cooling system is discharged through the filling port or exhaust valve. If the cooling system is connected to the heater, open the control valve of the heater to maintain ventilation in the unit. Cummins generator part is equipped with coolant filter, before the formal put into use, open the filter valve.
