The designer or user of the automatic control system of the diesel generator set should proceed from the actual situation and determine the automatic control function that the diesel generator set must have according to the specific requirements. China has formulated GB/T4712-1996 “Classification Requirements for automatic diesel generator sets” for land automatic diesel generator sets with rated power of not more than 3200KW, and the diesel generator sets are divided into three levels according to their degree of automation;
(1) The performance of the first-level automatic diesel generator set is as follows:
1) Single generator set automation for emergency power supply. Keep voltage and frequency constant during operation.
2) The generator set should automatically maintain the emergency operation state (automatic battery charging; The storage cylinder is automatically inflated, and the diesel engine is automatically pre-lubricated before starting.
3) When the generator set needs to start, run or stop, it can automatically start, run or stop according to the automatic control instructions.
4) During the operation of the generator set, if there are abnormal situations such as overload, short circuit, speeding, over-frequency, excessively high water temperature, and excessively low oil pressure, it can be automatically protected.
5) The generator set should be equipped with an audible and optical signal system that indicates normal operation, and the operation of the unit is indicated by these indicating signals and alarm signals.
6) The generator set should be able to run continuously for 4h when unattended.
(2) In addition to meeting the requirements of the first-level automatic diesel generator set, it should also have the following functions:
1) The generator set should have the function of automatic replenishment of fuel, oil and cooling water.
2) The generator set can run continuously for 240h when unattended.
(3) In addition to meeting the requirements of the first and second automation units, the three-level automatic diesel generator set must also have the following functions:
1) When the diesel generator set self-start fails, the self-start control program system should be able to automatically transfer the start instruction to another standby unit.
2) The generator set should be able to complete two generator sets of the same type and specification automatically parallel and uncolumn according to automatic control instructions or remote control instructions.
3) When the generator set is running side by side, it should be able to automatically distribute the output active power and reactive power.
4) In addition to the protection of the first and second automation units, the generator set should also have reverse power protection and other functions.
Three three-level automatic generator sets can form an automatic power station. Two of them are commonly used power supply units, and one is standby, so functions related to parallel operation should be added. The automatic control system should be based on the load and operation conditions, and the three generator sets should automatically start and stop, parallel, disassemble and load distribution in sequence. The fault is divided into two stages: the first is a light fault, which should achieve uninterrupted power supply, that is, after putting the standby generator set into parallel operation, and then stopping the faulty generator set. Secondary heavy fault, emergency shutdown of the faulty generator set at the same time, immediately put into the standby generator set, to allow interruption of power supply to the load.
