The maintenance method of silent diesel generator set in winter is introduced
Engine fuel: Low temperature in winter is easy to increase diesel viscosity, poor liquidity, resulting in diesel is not easy to spray, poor atomization, and even combustion deterioration, reducing the power and economic performance of diesel engines. Therefore, light diesel with low condensation point and good fire performance should be selected in winter. The condensation point of diesel engine should be 7-10℃ lower than the local seasonal temperature.
Start with an open flame: In places where the temperature is too low, you can start the machine with an open flame, but you cannot remove the air filter. Dip cotton yarn in diesel and ignite it to make kindling material and put it into the intake pipe for combustion start. In this way, in the start process, the external dust air will be directly inhaled into the cylinder, without filtering, leading to the abnormal wear of the piston, cylinder and other components, will also lead to the diesel engine rough work, damage the machine.
Premature discharge of water or no cooling water: the generator runs at idle speed before shutdown, the cooling water temperature drops below 60℃, the water is not hot, and then turn off the fire and discharge the water. If cooling water is released too early, when the temperature is high, the body will be suddenly attacked by cold air, resulting in shrinkage and cracks. When releasing water, the remaining water in the body should be discharged, so as not to freeze and expand, so as to make the body expand and crack. Shun Jinxing recommends that users use antifreeze in any season, the more antifreeze the silent generator set uses. As antifreeze not only plays a cooling role, but also has the role of protecting diesel engine.
Selection of lubricating oil: low condensation point oil should be selected in winter, and external bath heating can be used to improve the oil temperature when starting. It is not recommended to use an open flame, so as not to make the oil in the oil pan deteriorate, even scorch, reduce or completely lose the lubrication performance, thus increasing the wear of the machine.
Starting method: In winter, if conditions permit, assemble the water jacket heater for the silent generator to keep the machine at a certain temperature and run easily at any time. In order to quickly start the silent generator set, some operators often adopt the abnormal start method of waterless start (start first, then add cooling water). This practice can cause serious damage to the machine and should be prohibited. The correct method of preheating is to cover the heat insulation cover on the tank, open the water drain valve, continuously inject 60-70℃ clean soft water, touch the water flowing out of the drain valve with your hand, then close the drain valve, and then start.
Low temperature with load precautions: After the silent generator set catches fire, some operators can’t wait to immediately put into load operation. Shortly after diesel engine fire, due to low body temperature, oil viscosity, oil is not easy to fill the moving friction surface, will cause serious machine wear. In addition, plunger springs, valve springs and injector springs are also prone to breakage due to their cold brittleness. Therefore, after the silent generator starts to catch fire in winter, it should be idled for a few minutes at low and medium speed, and then put into load operation when the cooling water temperature reaches 60℃.
