Diesel generator set is a type of AC power supply equipment of self-provided power station, is a small independent power generation equipment, driven by internal combustion engine, synchronous alternator and power generation.
The modern diesel generator set consists of a diesel engine, a three-phase AC brushless synchronous generator, a control box (screen), a cooling water tank, a coupling, a fuel tank, a muffler and a common base. The axle of the flywheel shell of the diesel engine and the front end cover of the generator are directly connected by the shoulder positioning, and the cylinder type elastic coupling is used to drive the rotation of the generator directly by the flywheel, and the connection is fixed together by the screw, so that the two are connected into a steel body to ensure that the concentricity of the crankshaft of the diesel engine and the generator rotor is within the specified range.
Diesel generator set is a combination of internal combustion engine and synchronous generator, the rated power of the internal combustion engine is limited by the mechanical load and thermal load of the parts, called rated power, AC synchronous generator rated power refers to the rated power at rated speed, long-term continuous operation, output rated power. The match ratio is usually between the rated power output of the diesel engine and the rated power output of the synchronous alternator.

1. Overview
Diesel generator set is a kind of small power generation equipment, refers to the diesel fuel, diesel engine as the prime mover to drive the generator power machinery. Diesel generator set is generally composed of diesel engine, generator, control box, fuel tank, starting and control battery, protection device, emergency cabinet and other components. The whole can be fixed on the foundation, positioning and use, and can also be installed on the trailer for mobile use.
Diesel generator set is a non-continuous operation of power generation equipment, if the continuous operation of more than 12h, its output power will be lower than the rated power of about 90%.
Although the power of diesel generator set is low, but because of its small size, flexible, lightweight, complete, easy to operate and maintain, it is widely used in mines, railways, field sites, road traffic maintenance, and factories, enterprises, hospitals and other departments, as a backup power or temporary power supply. In recent years, the newly developed unattended automatic emergency power station has expanded the scope of use of this kind of generator set.

2. Classification and specification
Diesel generator sets are classified by the size of the generator output power, and the unit energy is from 10kW-750kW in a variety of specifications. Each specification is divided into protection type (equipped with over-speed, high water temperature, low oil pressure protection device), emergency type and mobile power station type several structures. Among them, the mobile power station is divided into high-speed off-road type which can match the speed of the car and ordinary mobile type with low speed.
3. Ordering precautions
Export inspection is based on the relevant technical or economic indicators of the contract or technical agreement, the user should pay attention to the following points when selecting and signing:
(1) If there is a difference between the environmental conditions of the use and the environmental conditions of the diesel generator set, the temperature, humidity and altitude values should be explained at the time of signing the contract to provide the appropriate model and supporting equipment;
(2) The cooling method adopted in use, especially the large-capacity unit, should be paid more attention;
(3) When ordering, in addition to the model of the unit, it should also explain what type of model to choose;
(4) The voltage adjustment rate of the diesel unit has 1%, 2%, 2.5% of the rated voltage. The choice should also be stated;
(5) When normal supply, provide a certain amount of wearing parts, and if necessary, it should also be explained.
4. Diesel generator set inspection items and methods
Diesel generator sets are complete sets of products, including diesel engines, generators, control components, protection devices, etc. Complete inspection of export products, including the following:
(1) Product technical and inspection data review;
(2) Product specifications, models, main structural dimensions;
(3) overall appearance quality of the product;
(4) Unit performance: the main technical parameters, the adaptability of the unit, the reliability and sensitivity of various automatic protection devices;
(5) Other items specified in the contract or technical agreement.
