For safety, wear an acid-proof apron and a face mask or protective glasses when maintaining the battery. Once the electrolyte accidentally splashes on your skin or clothing, you should immediately rinse with plenty of water.

The battery is dry when it arrives at the user at random, so before use, the electrolyte with the correct specific gravity (1:1.28) that has been evenly mixed should be added. Unscrew the top cover of the battery compartment and slowly inject electrolyte until it is located between the two graduation lines on the upper part of the metal sheet and is as close as possible to the upper graduation line. After adding it, please don’t use it immediately. You should park the battery for about 15 minutes.

When charging the battery for the first time, it should be noted that the continuous charging time should not exceed 4 hours. Too long a charging time will damage the service life of the battery.

When one of the following situations occurs, the charging time is allowed to be extended appropriately:

(1) If the battery is stored for more than 3 months, the charging time can be 8 hours;

(2) The ambient temperature continues to exceed 30°C (86°F) or the relative humidity continues to exceed 80%, and the charging time is 8 hours;

(3) If the battery is stored for more than 1 year, the charging time can be 12 hours;

(4) At the end of charging, check whether the electrolyte level is sufficient, and if necessary, add standard electrolyte with the correct specific gravity (1:1.28).
