1.Check the smoke and wear
(1) During the operation of the engine, open the oil port cover. If a thick smoke is emitted, this situation is called lower smoke. If the lower smoke situation is more serious, then it means The pistons, cylinder liners, piston rings and other components have suffered severe wear.
(2) When the valve chamber cover is opened, if there is a trace of cyan or self-colored smoke emerging from the root of the valve (valve working surface), this situation is called upper smoke.
(3) If the smoking situation is more serious, it means that the valve or valve seat is seriously worn or ablated, or the valve gap is too small, or there is no gap. By observing the upper smoke, you can directly see which valve and which cylinder are leaking and should be repaired in time.
2.View carbon deposits and working conditions
(1) When the carbon deposits in the exhaust of the diesel engine appear black and gray, and are covered with hoarfrost, and they are very thin, it means that the diesel engine is in good working condition. If the color of the carbon deposit is black and bright, but the carbon deposit is not wet, it means that the diesel engine oil consumption is high. At this time, the carbon deposit must be removed in time.
(2) If the thickness of the carbon deposits at the exhaust port of one cylinder is significantly higher than the carbon deposits at the exhaust ports of other cylinders, it indicates that the injector of the cylinder is not in good working condition, or the cylinder is not tight enough. Well, it must be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. If wetting or oil appears in the individual exhaust ports, it means that the cylinder is draining a large amount of oil and needs to be repaired immediately.
(3) If thicker carbon deposits appear in the exhaust port of each cylinder, and the color is darker, it is basically because the temperature is not high enough, or the fuel injection is too late, which causes the diesel to have a more serious afterburning. As a result, at this time, attention must be paid to correct use and timely adjustment.
