How to start diesel generator set?

1. Automatic start of unit protection:
Set the key switch to the automatic state, and judge the start by detecting the status of circuit breakers 441 and 442. When the circuit breakers 441 and 442 are detected, the generator set controller will automatically start the diesel engine set as if the mains is faulty; If the closing selection mode knob is in automatic position, it will be automatically closed, otherwise it will be manually closed. The normal state is the key switch in the automatic state, manual automatic closing selection knob in the automatic position.
Closing conditions: Circuit breakers 441 and 442 are in opening state and 443 are in closing state.
2 DCS protection automatic start:
The key switch in the automatic state, through the detection of DCS protection start state judge start, when the detection of DCS protection start, the generator set controller thinks that the mains failure, automatically start the diesel generator set; If the closing selection mode knob is in automatic position, it should be automatically closed, otherwise it should be manually closed. The normal state is the key switch in the automatic state, manual automatic closing selection knob in the automatic position.
Closing conditions: Circuit breakers 441 and 442 are in opening state and 443 are in closing state. .
3. DCS test start:
The key switch in the automatic state, through the DCS test start state judge start, when the test start command is detected when the generator controller thinks the mains failure, automatically start the diesel generator; If the closing selection mode knob is in automatic position, it should be automatically closed, otherwise it should be manually closed. The normal state is the key switch automatic state, manual automatic closing selection knob in automatic position.
Closing conditions: When testing closing, it is required to judge the state of the circuit breaker 443 first, that is, 443- must not be in the closing position. Before the DCS start command is issued, it is required to disconnect the circuit breaker 443 and open it first, otherwise it may cause non-simultaneous closing of the generator and the mains and damage the generator.
This job is done by the operator or DCS.
4. Manual startup:
Set the key switch to the manual position and select the manual automatic closing knob in the manual position. You can go through the controller. To start the generator set. After manually starting the unit, it should be manually closed. When the generator set is loaded, it is required to manually open the gate and then manually stop.
Closing conditions: Circuit breakers 441 and 442 are in the off state.
5. The controller changes hands automatically. After the unit starts automatically, if it wants to switch to manual state, it is required to put the selection knob of manual automatic closing in the manual position first, and then put the key switch in the manual position. The subsequent operation shall be done according to the requirements of manual starting. After manually starting the unit, the key switch cannot be transferred to the automatic state by manual, and the selection knob of manual automatic closing cannot be switched at will after starting. In general, it is not recommended to switch from automatic to manual during the operation of the generator.
