Why is supercharger diesel engine most prone to failure? Because the rated working speed of the supercharger is more than 130,000 revolutions per minute, and at the outlet of the exhaust manifold, the temperature is extremely high (above 800℃), the inlet and exhaust pressure is also large, that is, high temperature, high pressure, high speed, so the supercharger lubrication and cooling and sealing requirements are relatively high. In order to ensure the service life of the supercharger, in the design to ensure the lubrication and cooling of the turbocharger floating bearing, at the same time, in use requirements to do:
(1) The engine should idle for 3~5 minutes after starting, do not immediately load, in order to ensure good lubrication of the supercharger. The main reason is that the supercharger is located at the top of the engine, if the engine starts the supercharger immediately after high-speed operation, it will lead to the oil pressure fails to rise in time to the supercharger oil supply, resulting in the supercharger oil damage, or even burn out the whole supercharger.
The idle time should not be too long, generally not more than 10 minutes, too long idle time is easy to cause oil leakage at the compressor end.
(3) Do not immediately shut down the engine before stopping, should idle for 3 to 5 minutes, in order to make the supercharger speed and exhaust system temperature down, to prevent the occurrence of heat recovery, oil coking, bearing burning and other failures. Regular incorrect use will cause supercharger damage.
(4) long-term unused engine (generally more than 7 days), or the new supercharger engine, before use should be in the supercharger inlet oil injection, otherwise it will reduce the service life of poor lubrication or damage the supercharger.
⑤ Check regularly whether there is loose air leakage and oil leakage in the connecting parts, and whether the return pipeline is smooth, otherwise it should be eliminated in time.
⑥ To ensure that the air filter clean, and according to the requirements of regular replacement.
⑦ Change the oil and oil filter regularly.
⑧ Periodically check the radial axial clearance of the supercharger shaft, axial clearance should be no more than 0.15mm, radial clearance is: impeller and pressure shell clearance is not less than 0.10mm, otherwise should ask professional maintenance, so as not to expand the loss.
