Environmental factors such as humidity, height and temperature will have an impact on the operation of diesel generator sets. For the generator, the ambient temperature should be the intake air temperature of the generator. Since the generator is working with the diesel engine, the diesel engine heating will make the temperature in the whole space more than 40℃. It is very important that the ambient temperature of the generator during actual operation should not exceed 40 ° C. If it is below 40 ° C, the power of the generator can be greater than the rated power. When the ambient temperature exceeds 40 ° C, the higher the temperature, the lower the power of the generator.

There are other gases in the air that are chemically corrosive gases, such as sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, etc.; There is salt water (fog) (by the sea); Dust or wind-blown sand; Rain, easy to make diesel generator surface oxidation.

Therefore, we must fully consider the impact of various complex climates on diesel generators to ensure the normal operation of generators. For the general diesel generator set, the following three options are recommended to adapt to different climates:

1, high-quality air filter: used for large sand or dust in the air, to ensure the filter effect and extend the service life of the engine.

2, anti-condensation heater: used in the air humidity is large and prone to condensation environment, when the generator is not running on the heater, so that the body temperature of the generator is higher than the ambient temperature of about 5℃, cut off the heater power supply during operation.

3, IP23 protection level: standard IP22 to prevent the vertical drop of rain into the motor, IP23 protection level can prevent the vertical direction of 60 degrees of rain into the motor.
