The operation of diesel generator sets will produce a lot of energy loss, and the components of the unit will also have different degrees of wear under high intensity work load. Therefore, how to effectively protect them in daily operation has become the focus of the majority of users. How to maintain a diesel generator set?
(1) run-in of the new generator. When the diesel generator set is in use, it should be prohibited to run at idle or full load for more than 5 minutes, and shift gears properly to prevent engine exertion. At the same time, the oil temperature meter, oil pressure meter and water temperature meter should be observed frequently.
(2) Pay attention to the startup process. Every day before starting the generator set, check the coolant level and oil scale, and drain the oil and water separator. Note the oil pressure change within 15 seconds after engine starting. After starting every day, it should be preheated for 5 minutes at medium and low speed. It must be done when the temperature is below 0.
(3) Pay attention to downtime. Generators must be idled for 3 to 5 minutes before running and stopping so that lubricants and coolants take heat away from the combustion chamber, bearings and friction pairs, especially for supercharged and supercharged intercooled engines.
(4) Other matters needing attention. First, when the coolant temperature is below 60 or above 100, avoid continuous engine running and find out the cause as soon as possible. Secondly, it is forbidden to run the engine when the oil pressure is too low. In addition, the engine shall not run for more than 30 seconds at maximum throttle opening and maximum torque RPM. The maintenance of diesel generator sets should be more important than run-in, start and stop. In addition, there are many details that everyone should pay attention to when operating. As long as the maintenance work is done seriously, it is believed that the service life of the diesel generator set will be effectively extended.
