Once the fuel system of the diesel generator has air into it, the light engine is difficult to start or run unstable, and the heavy engine may break down in the road and be embarrassed. Taking the common plunger pump fuel supply system as an example, the various phenomena of air in the oil circuit will be systematically analyzed, and various exclusion methods will be determined.
First, there is air in the fuel supply system, the diesel engine will be difficult to start or easy to stall
Air has great compressibility and elasticity. When there is a leak point in the oil pipe from the fuel tank to the diesel oil pump section, the air will penetrate, thereby reducing the vacuum in this section of the pipeline, weakening the suction of the fuel in the tank, and even cutting off the flow, resulting in the engine can not start. In the case of less mixed air, the oil flow can still be maintained and sent to the injection pump by the oil delivery pump, but the engine may be difficult to start, or maintain soon after starting and self-extinguishing.
When the amount of air mixed in the oil circuit is slightly more, it will lead to a significant reduction in the number of cylinder oil cut-off or fuel injection, so that the diesel engine can not start at all.
Second, how to find the leakage point in the pipeline and plug the leak
The fuel supply system of diesel engine is divided into low pressure and high pressure. The low pressure oil circuit refers to a section of the oil circuit from the tank to the low pressure oil chamber of the injection pump, and the high pressure oil circuit refers to a section of the oil circuit from the plunger chamber of the high pressure pump to the oil nozzle. In the supply system of the plunger pump, the high-pressure oil circuit will not have air infiltration, there is a leak point, which will only lead to the leakage of fuel, and find a way to block the leak point. The following focuses on the leakage point problem in the low pressure oil circuit.
Diesel fuel supply system of low pressure oil circuit mostly use soft hose, hose easy to produce friction with parts, resulting in oil leakage and intake. An oil leak is easier to find than a broken intake somewhere in the line. The following is the method of determining the leak point of low pressure oil circuit.
Method 1 of judging leakage point:
The air in the oil circuit is drained, and after the engine is started, the leakage of diesel is found, that is, the leakage point.
Method 2 of judging the leak point:
Loosen the vent screw of the engine injection pump, pump oil with a manual pump, if it is found that the vent screw begins to discharge a large number of bubbles of oil flow, and after repeated hand pumping, the bubbles still do not disappear, it can be determined that there is a leak point in the negative pressure oil circuit from the tank to the oil pump. The section of the pipeline should be removed, and then through the pressure gas, and placed in the water, to find the bubbling place, that is, the leak point.
