Some customers do not think it is a big deal when the diesel generator tank bubbles during operation. This is wrong, if the Cummins diesel generator set, Volvo diesel generator set, Perkins diesel generator set and other power generation equipment found tank bubbling, need to check the following aspects.
Air bubbles in diesel tanks are usually caused by high pressure gas in the cylinder entering the cooling channel. The causes and elimination of gas flow are as follows.
1. The cylinder head plane processing is not uniform or deformed, resulting in air leakage. Grind the cylinder head flat or replace the cylinder head.
2. Improper assembly leads to cylinder liner shoulder fracture and air leakage. Update cylinder liner as specified.
3. The cylinder head nut is not tightened according to the specified torque. If the torque is too small and the cylinder head is not compressed, high-pressure gas will enter the channel. The cylinder head nut should be tightened according to the specified torque and again periodically.
4. The use time of the cylinder pad is too long, which is damaged or burned out, and the sealing is poor, leading to air leakage. Replacement of cylinder gasket.
5. The shoulder height of the cylinder liner is not enough or the shoulder hole of the body is too deep. As a result, after the cylinder liner is installed to the body, the height of the protruding body plane is not enough, or even sinking, and the gas will enter the water channel from the shoulder. Therefore, before assembly, check the protrusions and make sure they are within allowable limits.
Tank foam is a sign of problems inside a diesel generator set and cannot be ignored. In fact, many common failures of diesel generators have precursors. If you pay careful attention to the operation of the device, you can find it in time.
