Cause of diesel generator set undervoltage fault alarm shutdown

1, diesel engine mechanical speed regulation problem

Diesel engine speed regulation is divided into electronic speed regulation and mechanical speed regulation, if it is mechanical speed regulation, then there is a control of oil and oil pump mechanism on the diesel engine, it seems to be called the common rail oil pump, there is a pull rod above, is to control the amount of oil, let’s call it speed regulation rod, speed regulation rod on both sides of the distribution of a speed limit (high speed) top rod and speed regulation top rod, start running 20S that is low pressure, Do not know whether the voltage and frequency has not been up, if it has been up, it may be caused by the speed up, you can adjust the speed control rod try, but where the diesel unit failure, there is generally a main fault, the main fault is solved, resulting in a series of secondary failures to be solved.

2, voltage sampling line loose

This is easy to understand. The voltage sampling line is loose, so there must be no voltage measurement.

3. Residual magnetism

If the generator has no remanence, then the voltage system of the generator can not be built at the beginning, for this problem, we must be clear about the excitation output of the generator AVR regulator is how much V voltage, and then connect the corresponding voltage source on the excitation output line for magnetization (voltage type should be corresponding, polarity should not be reversed).

4. Ground fault

If the outlet line is three-phase ground, then the voltage and current are very low, and the main thing to check at this time is whether the ground discharge device (such as the ground knife) is closed or grounded.

5. The pressure regulator is faulty

Possibly due to changes in environmental factors, the parameters of the AVR regulator are no longer applicable and need to be re-adjusted. Generally speaking, the non-parallel diesel unit basically does not have this problem, because the parameters of the regulator are fixed (400V), in general, we can not adjust it, only the unit used for parallel operation may have this problem. Because the AVR regulator is adjusted according to the main bus voltage in the parallel machine, it is not static, at this time, the parallel device generally has a voltage regulator signal into the AVR regulator, in this case, either check whether the voltage regulator signal is connected incorrectly, or try to quickly use electronic controls (parallel device, regulator, etc.) to reset the voltage when starting up.

6. The varistor or rectifier bridge diode on the generator winding is damaged

The role of the varistor is: when the overvoltage fault occurs, the varistor is switched on to reduce the voltage, if the varistor is broken down or switched on for other reasons, then it is conceivable that the voltage must be very low, the rectifier bridge has 6 diodes, the DC power supply is set to supply the regulator and excitation devices, if the rectifier bridge diode is damaged, the role of the regulator and excitation devices will be greatly reduced.
