Diesel generator wrong operation method 1: The diesel engine still runs at high speed when the oil is insufficient
At this time, insufficient oil supply will cause insufficient oil supply to the surfaces of each friction pair, resulting in abnormal wear or burns. For this reason, before starting the diesel generator and during the operation of the diesel engine, ensure that there is enough engine oil to prevent the cylinder and the combustion liner from being pulled due to insufficient oil.
Diesel generator misoperation 2: emergency shutdown with load or immediate shutdown after sudden load unloading
After the diesel generator is turned off, the water circulation of the cooling system stops, the heat dissipation capacity drops sharply, and the heating components lose cooling, which easily leads to overheating of mechanical components such as the cylinder head, cylinder liner, and cylinder block, resulting in cracks or excessive expansion and sticking of the piston in the cylinder liner. . On the other hand, if the diesel generator stops without idle cooling, the oil content on the friction surfaces will be insufficient, and when the diesel engine is started again, the wear will increase due to poor lubrication. Therefore, before the diesel generator is turned off, the load should be removed, the speed should be gradually reduced, and the diesel generator should be run for a few minutes without load.
Diesel generator wrong operation three: no preheating and load operation after cold start
When the diesel generator is cold started, due to the high viscosity and poor fluidity of the oil, the oil supply of the oil pump is insufficient, and the friction surface of the machine is poorly lubricated due to lack of oil, resulting in rapid wear and tear, and even failures such as cylinder pulling and tile burning. Therefore, after the diesel engine is cooled and started, it should run at idle speed to increase the temperature, and then run with load when the oil temperature reaches 40°C or more; when starting the machine, change to a low gear, and drive a certain mileage in each gear in turn until the oil temperature is normal and the supply Plenty of oil.
Diesel generator misoperation 4: Throttle slams shut after diesel engine cold start
If the throttle is slammed shut, the speed of the diesel generator will rise sharply, which will cause some of the friction surfaces on the engine to wear badly from dry friction. In addition, when the throttle valve is blown, the force on the piston, connecting rod and crankshaft changes greatly, causing severe impact and easy damage to parts.
Diesel generator faulty operation V: Running when the cooling water is insufficient or the cooling water and oil temperature are too high
Insufficient cooling water for diesel generators will reduce its cooling effect, and the diesel engine will overheat due to poor cooling effect; too high oil temperature of the cooling water and engine oil will also cause the diesel engine to overheat. At this time, the cylinder head, cylinder liner, piston assembly and valve of the diesel generator are subjected to a large thermal load, and their mechanical properties such as strength and toughness drop sharply, which increases the deformation of the parts and reduces the coordination between the parts. The gap accelerates the wear of the parts, and even causes the parts to crack and jam in severe cases. Overheating of diesel generators can also deteriorate the combustion process of diesel engines, resulting in abnormal injector operation, poor atomization and increased carbon deposits.
